Embracing the Transition: Welcoming the Almost-Fall Season

As the warm embrace of summer begins to fade gently, we find ourselves standing at the threshold of a new chapter - the almost-fall season. It's that time of year when we start to shift gears, preparing to step back into the rhythm of work, school, and routines. But before we fully immerse ourselves in the hustle and bustle, let's take a moment to savor what we've gained from the sun-soaked months of summer.

A Time of Transition and Anticipation

While the calendar may not signal the beginning of a new year, the almost fall season carries its own unique energy of change and renewal. It's a period of transition, a bridge between the carefree days of summer and the structured routines that await us. As we prepare to return to our daily commitments, there's a sense of anticipation in the air - the excitement of new plans, ideas, connections, and goals waiting to be pursued.

Savoring the Summer's Gifts

During these months of longer days and lighter spirits, we may have found ourselves seeking moments of serenity and joy. Perhaps we watched the sunsets a little longer, shared laughter with friends a little louder, and allowed ourselves to embrace life's simple pleasures. As we step into the almost fall season, let's carry these cherished experiences with us. Let's savor the lessons we've learned and the memories we've created.

The Joy of Preparation

Just as nature undergoes a transformation during this time, so do we. It's the joy of preparation - the anticipation of what's to come, the cultivation of new ideas, and the refinement of our dreams. It is as if we have our hands on the steering wheel, ready to navigate the path ahead, yet we haven't pressed the gas pedal. It's a wonderful space to be in, filled with potential and promise.

Embracing the Possibilities

Let’s take a moment to reflect on the potential that lies before us. What new projects are you excited to embark upon? What connections are you eager to nurture? What goals are you determined to achieve? This transition is an opportunity to realign ourselves with our aspirations, carrying the spirit of summer's freedom and spontaneity into our upcoming endeavors.

As we welcome the almost fall season, let's embrace the spirit of change and growth. Let's channel the lessons of summer into our pursuits and make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead. Remember, this is your time to shine, to set intentions, and to stride confidently toward your dreams.

After each Blog, I’m offering an art or writing prompt to enhance self-exploration. You can also share what you do in the comment section below.

Art Prompt:

1.      Trace both of your hands on a piece of paper.

2.      At the tip of each finger, draw a leaf large enough to put a word in it.

3.      Think of 5 positive feelings you had this summer.

4.      Write one feeling in each leaf (on top of the fingertips).

5.      Think of 5 ways you want to be this fall. (Productive, on time, kind, eat well….)

6.       Put each way you want to be in a separate leaf (on top of the fingertip) on the other traced hand.

7.      Put your “hands” with the “leaves” side by side. Notice if the feeling leaf matches with each way you want to be leaf.

8.      Is there a way that both hands can coexist? If so, what would you need for that to happen?

Would love to know what you discovered; please share below.
