We are in a special time. I recently shared with my smaller community of Mandala makers that we are collectively in the energy of number 1, numerologically, 2026 adds up to the number 1.
One represents the individual, new beginnings, and the initiation process.
This is an auspicious time. One has the potential to become much more than one is now.
This can be an idea, a feeling, a relationship. Or whatever you want to make it.
We are also completing the year of the Snake in Chinese astrology, which is about shedding and letting go of what is no longer needed or useful, and preparing for what comes next. In Chinese astrology, beginning February 17th 2026, we will enter the year of the Horse, the Fire Horse, which burns away what no longer serves, clearing paths for you to reach your highest purpose.
To help us connect and reach these goals, we must be “connected” to ourselves. I call this embodiment. Our thoughts and feelings must be felt and experienced in the body, not just understood in our mind.
Embodiment takes many forms, and what I find most effective and fun is art-making, particularly mandala-making.
Given the current state of the world, the energies of the Universe, and the collective unease, this Mandala Workshop will center on embodiment.
In the M.A.R.I. Mandala Assessment Research Instrument: There are 12-13 stages. It is throughout, but most noticeable in the first and final stages of the Great Round that embodiment can be felt.
